His research experience gave him the knowledge and skills to accumulate the information used to back up his argument stated in the Play It Like Ringo! book. It is intent to move into this genre of writing as a vocation.

Before starting to play the drums, he played in the school band, on coronet, where he learned music theory and how to properly understand the language of music, along with the dynamics of playing in a band. At the age of 11, he was introduced to the Beatles on a chance, watching the classic Beatles’ film HELP! on the family television set. Seeing Ringo play in the movie was the inspiration he needed to switch from orchestra music to rock and roll, and drums by extension became his passion. It has since become a hobby of playing in classic rock bands for over four decades, with a life-long passion for Beatles music and an extraordinary appreciation for the drumming of Ringo Starr. This book formalizes a staunch belief that Ringo Starr was not only critical to the Beatles success, but also critical to the evolution of modern rock and roll drumming.
